Oregon Concealed Handgun License (CHL) Practice Exam 2026 - Free Oregon CHL Practice Questions and Study Guide

Federal buildings are indeed places where even CHL holders cannot bring concealed firearms in Oregon. This restriction stems from federal regulations that prohibit the carrying of firearms in federally owned or leased buildings. These regulations are in place for public safety and security purposes, given the heightened security needs of federal facilities.

While it is true that other locations, such as bars and nightclubs, have restrictions on firearms, they may allow for concealed carry under specific circumstances, such as when the person does not consume alcohol. Grocery stores and churches generally do not have explicit prohibitions against concealed carry under Oregon law unless otherwise indicated by the property owner. However, federal buildings are strictly regulated, making it clear for CHL holders that they must refrain from bringing firearms into these environments.
